I have been really busy with my Christmas Activities. What I've done is I have created a google doc and I named it 12 days of Christmas Caitlyn K. Then I had to rewrite the poem in my own words for an example 1 Child dabbing, to make a Christmas tree. It was pretty hard but I got the hang of it. So Here is the link to it. Oh and... This week for word work I have created a google drawing first I had to get the words of my spelling list and type them in a google drawing. Then I did word art for the Word Work so that pepeol would get a Idea of what I'm doing. I would love to do this again. 1 thing I learn't in word work is that you have to write the words and also think of a sentence that starts with that word.

Myths and Legends

This week for my writing about myths and legends I have created a google drawing and I have been writing about what sort of myth or legend creature would I be? I also said why I would like to be that sort of myth or legend creature. I chose a myth because I like dragons, their OK. Then I put an image of what I was talking about so that people would know what I'm talking about. My favorite part of Myths and Legends would be writing about it. It was really fun to write.

This week I have been working on problem solving for my maths. If I have done my numeracy follow ups I got to spend some time on my problem solving. For my maths some were hard and some were easy. My favorite problem solving activity would be the patterns. I enjoyed it as it was hard but I successfully tried my best. I learnt that in problem solving you have to try your best.

Athletics

Last week Grey Main School went to Anzac park and we got stuck in with athletics. I was lucky enough to be in the paper. There was long jump sprints and all the others. My best friend Ayesha did the 1200 meter sprint. Sadly she didn't come first but at least she tried.

This week for Literacy I have been focusing on Comprehension and finding literacy elements. Mrs Costello gave us a follow up to do as our literacy activity. We had to finish it before morning tea and lunch time. If we didn't then we would have to stay in for morning tea or lunch. I would love to do this again as my literacy follow up as it is hard but when I tried hard I was successful.    

Myths and legends

This week for literacy I wrote a story about a mythical creature. I wrote about a unicorn and I talked about the unicorn and what color it was. I really enjoyed writing about it because it was really fun to talk about a unicorn. Plus they are my favorite mythical creature. I learnt that unicorns are not real and that they are only told in fairy tales or in poems.

I have just finished this book about Geronimo Stilton the curse of the cheese pyramid it is a great book and I would like to encourage you to read this book.

Little Garden

This week for our Little Garden as you can see we have been extremely busy with our little garden. We have done the steps that were on the Instructions list we have watered them let them in the sun so they will grow. Good news they have not died so I hope you guys are doing the same. Holly Robinson Reflection T2 W1 2016

Holly Robinson

This week we were lucky to have a Paralympic athlete come to our school called Holly Robinson. She came to our school to explain her life as being a Javelin thrower. Next to her was Rikki-Lee and Vadim who are Holly Robinson's cousins. She is originally from Hokitika. Everyone was really excited. They were yelling and screaming. After all that everyone was crowding up to Holly Robinson and she gave everyone Hi- Fives.

This week I have been working on Egyptian mummies we wrote what we thought about Egyptian mummies and how they were found in Egypt I found this a bit hard but at least I know a bit about mummies.

This week I have been working on in  notes the four boxes ask some questions about what Inferencing means here is an example: what does Inferencing mean? well it means any clues past experiencing, help me understand what is happening things you have done before. I enjoyed doing this it is a fun way of learning to inference I found this a bit easy and now I know a little about inference.

Big Day Out

On Thursday my class Mamaku had a big day out. What we did is we went to the movies and guess what movie we watched, Pete's dragon. I enjoyed watching the movie. The people that did there main stars got to have a treat at the movies. Second we went to the Recreation center. It was awesome! We got to play some games like soccer, badminton and basketball. We also had our morning tea at the Recreation center. Then after that we went swimming at the Aquatic center. I really enjoyed going to the pool, it was really fun. I was lucky enough to go in my friend's mums car. I really want to Thank all the Teachers in Mamaku Thank you very much for organizing the big day out.
